I totally freaked. I found a link on Hani’s blog, to a browser cache test that can tell from your browsing history if you are male or female. Turns out I am 100% female, I was shocked because I am a geek and thought some of my browsing tendancies would be male. Maybe my time on geeksugar tipped them off? Or my late night browser/window shopping for jewelry, handbags and sofas was the reason they figured me out.
Makes you rethink your privacy and security.

Scary stuff .. huh?
Yeah and the thing is, nothing Hani wrote was new to me but to actually see my cache being accessed, used and correctly guessing info; that was surreal.
Jessyz,
I had the same reaction when I first saw the link on Tololy’s blog.
From what the tool outputs it seems that the number are avg probability that the visitors of a particular site are male or female. It seem anything under 1 is more female, and over 1 is more male. eventually it averages out, and gives you the decision
But it was very interesting though. This is probably one of the best social engineering hacks I’ve seen in a long time.
100% male here
there is also a tool to gender analyse you from your blog’s content..
i was 80% a girl
http://genderanalyzer.com/
That’s so cool. I got 50%50% that’s cause my husband uses this computer sometimes and looks at football stuff.
@Lasto: my blog is a man
I am not sure how that happened
@mona: heheh makes sense.
100% girl
but i already knew that ;-p
I took it and guess what:
Likelihood of you being FEMALE is 46%
Likelihood of you being MALE is 54%
It is not unexpected, but still.. OUCH!
Don’t feel too bad Dee, I did the blog genderanalyzer and the blog turned out to be 70% written by a guy. At least my browsing habits are feminine.
