I was in Canada in January 07 and they were promoting Little Mosque on the Prairie, but I never managed to catch any of the shows. I have already seen Seasons 1 and 2 and Season 3 has just started last month. I remember reading Little House on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder when I was little and thought the show’s title was funny. I was also very intrigued to see how they would deal with the whole Muslim thing. I found Canada to be Muslim friendly or perhaps the area I was in was more used to dealing with lots of immigrants and perhaps converts. The show is funny and quite down to earth without being offensive manages to poke fun at everyone.

If you are interested you can find the episodes here.

    I watched the first few episodes online and it was ok. Are they on the second or third season now? I think it’s great that there’s a show that represents us. Even if it’s not completely correct or whatever, it’s a step towards understanding.

        @mona: They’re on the third season, I think it is very funny but doesn’t preach anything so it’s just a nice way to make people understand different cultures without being offensive to anyone. It does poke fun at the different stereotypes too.
        @inas: glad u enjoyed it.
