I am a procrastinating perfectionist. That is a weird thing to say right?
Anyways, Chikapappi (check out her blog, she’s very interesting but not blogging as regularly as she used to or as I would like her to) said she wanted an ipod case. To be honest so did I. I throw my ipod in my bag, sometimes I am a good girl and put it in the zippered part so it won’t get scratched. Designing something isn’t easy. I wanted something I could use without having to take the ipod out of so that ruled out sock style case thingies. I tried crocheting it and leaving a circle open. Do you have any idea how hard that is? Didn’t think so. After a gazillion attempts I decided not to do it that way.
I came up with three ideas and tested them out.
I am still not 100% satisfied.
I like the idea of a flap for easy access, and I also like the felt because I feel that Mr. Ipod is safe and cozy.
But there is something missing.
So it is back to the drawing board for me.
I’m off the blog because I’ve got me a man now ;p Readers used to actually advise me on finding other hobbies to rest my eyes from the screen, add to that the fact that I am “trying” to lose weight as much as I can so no more going out to eat o kaman less food reviews ;p YES MUCH LESS..

I like the idea of making a case of crochet for it, yet I can’t think about the best look
mmm, though the open circle is so hard as u said, yet I don’t think it’s so good .. may be if it’ s just an outer case to protect it, one slot for the handsets and then decorate it from the outside…don’t know .. ideas come and go
but when u release its fina edition , I’ll be glad to see it

Have you looked at SnB Happy Hooker? There’s a couple of patterns for iPod cozies in there that have a clear window. Basically, you take some clear vinyl, or other clear flexible plastic which is sturdy enough to take having holes punched in it, and cut it to the size of the desired window plus a little for seam allowance. Punch holes in it around the edge about a 1/4″ or maybe 12-15 mm apart. Crochet into the holes. IIRC, the SnB cozies had a single rectangular window for the both the screen and the controls, but you could make them separate windows if you wanted. I don’t recommend two windows for an iPod Nano, but it should work for larger models.
