Thursday’s Thought: Inside vs. Outside

Thursday's Thought

Your image has to match your inside self for everything to fall in place correctly.
You can’t be awesome on the inside and look frumpy on the outside and expect people to see inside you and treat you accordingly.

I have been hearing the same phrase a lot lately.
I think there’s a reason why i am hearing it that often.
    I am fighting the concept.
tayeb what if people would think i am not good enough on the inside because of a religious appearance?!
would it differ then…the concept i mean?

Sometimes, people don’t even care about the insides. People always judge by appearance. And I believe that a person can fix his secret flaws if he pretended other wise.
Courage for instance, someone people were born courageous but those who are not can be if they pretended they are.
And in the same sense, many not so awesome people could turn awesome if they acted like it.

        Let me see.
What I meant is that you have to feel that your appearance portrays how you see your self. It was more of a personal thing.
For example you are a clean person you can’t really wear dirty clothes.
You are unique then you shouldn’t be really wearing what everyone else is wearing.

More like you should try and match what is inside you and bring it to the outside, not the other way around or that you should pretend.

Maybe I am struggling with this because I feel that my inner self and my outer self are two totally different people.
Rasha I know that when it comes to Religion we start treading murky waters, because for example people assume that mu7agabat should be angels or something along those lines masalan. The problem is that our piety comes and goes with time.

Shimaa sometimes you have to fake it till you make it.

I try to make them as close as people, and they naturally come up like this by default.
I think “Truth” is the key.
True to oneself and to others…
as much as we try to be true, inside and outside are automatically coming closer and closer.
