A baby set {Friday’s FO}

Baby Set

I am so in love with this set.  I LOVE knitting for babies.  The knitting is cute, fast and teeny tiny.  I wasn’t really planning on knitting a cardigan or socks, but with so much left over yarn after the blanket it felt like a shame not to knit more stuff with it.  I ended up knitting a Puerperium, it is a free pattern by Kelly Brooker.  I love how the button band is on the side and it is assymetrical.  The socks are another free pattern called New Born Baby Socks by Stephanie Haberman.  You only cast on 24 stitches, so if you are used to knitting adult socks (usually 64 stitches) these practically just fly off the needles.  The pattern originally uses a normal gusset heel but I just knit a short row heel without thinking.
