Just keep knitting

Some projects seem to take forever. They are not necessarily harder that others but they just seem to take much more time than they are supposed to. This blanket is one of them. It should have been finished months ago. I am using bulky yarn and 10 mm needles. But those 10 mm needles make my hands cramp up. I love the texture and the color blocking. And every time I see it in my knitting basket I want to finish it, but it just seems to love being a work in progress. I love finishing things. Getting tasks done and checking them off my list. Sometimes it is a good thing to stop worrying about the finish line and just enjoying the race. And that is exactly what I plan to do. I am going to enjoy the knitting until it is done.

Do you have any projects that are taking forever?

so what stitch are you using on this blanket? and how are you handling the color changes? do you run the colors up the side or just start new with each change? curious minds want to know. lols

It is a 4 row stitch pattern.

      Row 1 knit
      Row 2 k1,p1
      Row 3 knit
      Row 4 p1,k1

On an even number of stitches. Since the colors aren’t repeated I just start a new color whenever the last one is all used up at a start of an even row.

      It is lovely tv knitting.
