Cloud Bay Cardigan (aka Freekeh Cardigan) [WIP]

When the yarn reminds you of one of your favorite grains, that is what you call it.  So this my friends is my Freekeh Cardigan.  The pattern is Cloud Bay which I am loving so far.  The design is quite simple. It is just a run of the mill top-down raglan cardigan.  It does, however, have some interesting design elements, such as the i-cord in the front band and the little afterthought pockets. I also learned how to do a tubular bind-off.  I tried doing a regular bind-off but it didn’t look as neat and this one is stretchier.  It is quite fussy and takes more time to set up and do but it does seem to be worth the effort.

I don’t like the yarn though, it is scratchy and grabby.  It sticks to itself and is torture to knit with, my only consolation is that I do love the sweater itself to keep going.  If I didn’t I would have trashed it a long time ago. I still have half a sleeve and a pocket to knit so I am going to leave you and go do it.
