Oh and the red streaks on her legs are a result of experimenting with markers, she also painted her toenails and claims that she gave herself a manicure.\u00a0 It is washing off slowly and I don&#8217;t really want to exfoliate it off just to teach her not to do it again.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a close up of the color.\u00a0 The yarn is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.knitpicks.com\/yarns\/Stroll_Tonal_Sock_Yarn__D5420134.html\" target=\"_blank\">Knit Picks Stroll Tonal<\/a> in the Summer Blooms colorway.\u00a0 It is soft but quite strong.\u00a0 It looks pink but there is orange and purple in it too.\u00a0 The pattern is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spudandchloe.com\/blog\/2009\/08\/ribbed-socks-for-kids-free-pattern\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ribbed Socks<\/a> for kids by Susan B Anderson.\u00a0 I used the pattern <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chocolatemintsinajar.com\/craft\/2011\/12\/fridays-fo-stuff\/\" target=\"_blank\">before<\/a> and it is nice and simple.\u00a0 Simple and no fuss.\u00a0 I considered downsizing a pretty lace sock pattern but in the end decided it just wasn&#8217;t really suitable for her and that these would just be more comfortable.\u00a0 And the best thing about the yarn is that a skein has enough yarn for a pair for me ( I don&#8217;t really like long cuffs) and a pair for her with a little left to spare.<br \/>\n<a title=\"Untitled by ChocolateMintsInaJar, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/chocolatemintsinajar\/6924882251\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7058\/6924882251_9a4a6b629e_z.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I finished the pink birthday socks.\u00a0 They are a success and the little one approves.\u00a0 She loves the color because after all little girl really loves Peeeeenk.
