I purchased the yarn and it arrived in June.  I was so busy at the time that I never had a chance to cast on.  It is a sport weight yarn, Wool of the Andes, in Merlot Heather.  It is a beautiful reddish brown with flecks of red.<\/p>\n<p>So today I pulled it out and knit a test swatch, made 4 new stitch markers and cast on the actual thing.<\/p>\n<p>Wish me luck.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230; finally cast on the Vitamin D cardigan by Heidi Kirrmaier.
