{"id":779,"date":"2011-08-05T01:01:29","date_gmt":"2011-08-04T22:01:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chocolatemintsinajar.com\/craft\/?p=779"},"modified":"2011-08-05T01:01:29","modified_gmt":"2011-08-04T22:01:29","slug":"hot-water-bottle-heating-pad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chocolatemintsinajar.com\/craft\/2011\/08\/hot-water-bottle-heating-pad\/","title":{"rendered":"Not a hot water bottle heating pad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have a back problem, and the best remedy is usually a hot water bottle in bed.\u00a0 Hot water bottles are also great for that *ahem* time of month when you want to kill someone.\u00a0 Or maybe you just enjoy a nice warm bed.\u00a0 But I have a problem with hot water bottles, they tend to hate me and like to leak.\u00a0 Not very nice. When I was pregnant I discovered the rice heating pad.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t have a sewing machine at the time but made a simple rectangle one with some cotton fabric I had and hand stitched it.\u00a0 It has been looking really sad lately and I wanted a new one.\u00a0 So I made a simple one shaped like a hot water bottle and you can make one too.<\/p>\n<p>You can download the <a Needed:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some scrap cotton or linen.\u00a0 You can use any fabric that can go into the microwave.\u00a0 I used linen because I had it on hand and I love its texture<\/li>\n<li>Cotton thread because you don&#8217;t want it melting in the microwave<\/li>\n<li>Almost 3 cups of uncooked dry rice.<\/li>\n<li>Essential oil of your choice (optional) but it really does add a nice relaxing touch to it.\u00a0 You only need to add a couple of drops to your rice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table border=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Cut out two pieces with the template on
