Wednesday’s WIP: Lacy Baktus

Everywhere I turned I saw a Lacy Baktus (click the link for the pattern). So I decided to cast one on. To be honest I already have another four WIPs but two of them are sleeping and the other two are surprises so I am not going to talk about them.

Lacy Baktus

The pattern is really easy, an 8 row repeat which is really easy to memorize. It is also mainly done in knit stitches so there are no pesky purls to make me angry and yell at the needles and stitches (you do talk to your knitting don’t you?)

I tried doing it all continental style but I can’t seem to do k2tog in any other style than the English. So I keep going back and forth between the two styles.

I also love that it can be made with any yarn weight and appropriate needles. I am trying to finish up this purple cotton yarn because well that would justify buying more :-).

What are you working on right now?

*WIP means Work in Progress*

    Sounds like a great knit!
I’m the same way; I just can’t get the hang of doing the K2tog in continental style.
    I have a few WIPs…
-a knit blanket that is done totally in stockinette with 2 strands of worsted yarn held together on size 13 needles
-a crocheted blanket done in a Granny Stripe
-a crocheted amigurumi dolly of my own design
-a crocheted amigurumi froggy of my own design
-a crocheted rasta tam of my own design (Christmas gift)
-another crocheted blanket with the Chevy Bowtie symbol (Christmas gift)
-and last, but not least, my first full-size doily with a CAL over at http://glor-crochetgalore.blogspot.com/2010/10/crochet-long-getting-ready.html

Yeah…definitely no lack of WIPs here.
    Hugs and Blessings,

LoL…I didn’t even realize how many WIPs I had until I sat down to think about it for the post. I actually forgot to add a knit amigurumi doll and a crochet amigurumi dove that I started, but haven’t worked on in a while. I get sidetracked so easily, lol. I have yarn-y ADD.?
