Crochet Cuties on Ravelry – Shawls

I got the idea from French Press Knits who apparently got it from Falling Stitches. They pick out their favorite patterns from Ravelry.com once a week, but since both of them focus only on knitting patterns, I thought I’d do a list of cool crochet ones. It still seems that most people assume crochet is for hot pads and edgings only and I am trying to prove otherwise.

This week I am tackling shawls because I seem to have shawls on the brain. I love making them, but I can’t seem to wear them because the weather is so hot these days.

This shawl is so stunning, I love the border and the middle too.

Unfortunately this pattern is still in Turkish only, but the designer says she will be adding an English version real soon, lets hope she does because those flower motifs are absolutely divine.

Another very beautiful example of a lovely crochet shawl, it is pretty in solids and self striping yarns.

The name of this design made me laugh.  It is a copy of scarf which Rory of the Gilmore Girls wore and it is so cute.  I also think it would look awesome in neon colors just as it is in white.
